Successful Migration of Efarmz to a Custom E-commerce Platform

As Head of Tech at Efarmz, we led a team of 3 developers to migrate their platform from Prestashop to a fully customized solution. We overcame major challenges, including managing unprecedented order peaks during COVID and integrating with their real-time ERP system. This transformation contributed to Efarmz winning the E-commerce of the Year award, as well as the Public Award at the BeCommerce Awards and Feweb E-commerce of the year.

Technical Migration and Custom Rebuild

The original Prestashop platform no longer met Efarmz’s growing needs. We led then a complete rebuild, opting for a customized solution, that was more robust, scalable, and tailored to the unique challenges of food e-commerce and the specific needs of having meal boxes.

Handling Order Peaks During COVID

During the COVID-19 crisis, Efarmz experienced record-breaking order volumes. I implemented a scalable infrastructure, optimized to handle these peaks while ensuring a seamless user experience.

ERP Integration & Real-Time Synchronization

One of the biggest challenges was integrating Efarmz’s unique real-time ERP system. We led the development efforts to ensure seamless synchronization, of stock and orders in real time, optimizing the supply chain.
